Blan volleyball stops 2-match skid, beats Bethel-Tate

BETHEL – The Blanchester volleyball team defeated Bethel-Tate 25-15, 25-11, 25-15 Tuesday night in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division play.

Blanchester is now 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the National Division. The Lady Tigers slip to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the division.

Asia Baldwin had 20 kills and four blocks at the net to go along with eight points and eight perfect passes.

BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said the team played well in stopping a two-match losing streak.

Shelbie Rose had 17 assists, 13 points and five digs. Casey Kingsland finished with two kills, 18 points, five aces and two perfect passes. Ally Davis contributed two kills, 11 points, four aces and six perfect passes.

Morgan Oberle recorded five kills, four blocks, 15 points, four aces, seven digs and four perfect passes in a fine all-around match. Audrey Heitzman had four points, a block and four points. Kassidy Abney had a point, a dig and a perfect pass.
