EC wins wild one with Tipp City Bethel

TIPP CITY – In a wild, back and forth match, the East Clinton volleyball team defeated Tipp City Bethel 25-22, 26-28, 25-18, 18-25, 15-11 Monday in a non-league match at the Bethel gym.

“This was such a fun game,” said EC coach Sarah Sodini. “The girls won because they played as a team and did not give up. We had some tough calls against us and the girls adjusted well.”

Emma Malone had an ace and five digs while Kaitlyn Talbott contributed two blocks at the net. Sierra Christian had an ace, a kill and two digs. Kayla Hall had a kill and two blocks. Lacey Peterman came up with three kills and a block.

Kait Durbin finished with two aces, five kills, two assists, four blocks and nine digs. Paige Lilly had five aces, 12 kills, a block and nine digs. Myah Jones chipped in with three kills, nine assists, a block and 11 digs. Kenzie Campbell had three aces, 14 kills, two assists, three blocks and five digs. Logan Peterman had six aces, a kill, 19 assists and six digs.
