North Lincoln closed until Friday

WILMINGTON — The City of Wilmington announced a road closure to all traffic on State Route 134 (North Lincoln Street), effective immediately, until about 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29. Approximately 475 feet of North Lincoln will be closed between the streets of Lorish Avenue and Ruby Avenue.

The road closure is due to street repair work performed as part of a City of Wilmington/ODOT Urban Repaving Project. Cox Paving is the contractor for the project.

During the construction, North Lincoln Street/SR 134 will be completely closed to all traffic between Lorish and Ruby. Detours will be marked to enable local traffic to avoid the road closure.

Truck traffic will be strictly prohibited on Lorish Avenue and State Route 134 North during the closure. All trucks are encouraged to utilize the 73 Bypass to travel through the city.

City officials ask that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be made to the Office of the Director of Public Service at 937-382-6509.
