The Wilmington High School boys soccer team failed to score in its last two SBAAC American Division matches, a tie with New Richmond 0-0 and a loss to Western Brown 1-0.

Against Western Brown on Tuesday, WHS coach Imad El-Macharrafie said, “I thought we played well but we didn’t capitalize on our chances we had early on in the game.”

Wilmington tied with New Richmond last Thursday.

“New Richmond played a physical game and we just couldn’t match their energy player for player,” the coach said.

Western Brown leads the American Division at 7-0 while Wilmington is 5-2-1. New Richmond is third at 4-2-2. The Hurricane is 7-4-2 in all matches.
