All four Clinton County football teams came together this past Friday to help Little Hearts Big Smiles raise money.
For the first time, all four teams had Little Hearts Big Smiles honorary captains at their games. Previously, Wilmington and Clinton-Massie had participated in the LHBS honorary captains event.
The honorary captains walked to midfield for the pre-game coin toss and recognition at Alumni Field for Massie versus Wilmington, and at Barbour Memorial Field for Blanchester versus East Clinton.
The schools came together to raise more than $3,000 to donate to LHBS to help the organization build and expand at its All Children’s Playground. Wilmington raised $800, Clinton-Massie raised $545, East Clinton raised $1,040 and Blanchester raised $945.
For Wilmington, senior Terrence Ford and seventh grader Gregory Farfan were honorary captains. Terrence enjoys his friends, watching videos on his computer and hanging out at the Clinton County Youth Council. His major accomplishment was losing more than 100 pounds. Farfan has a passion for farming and everything related to tractors and big trucks. He loves to ride and take care of his horses named Auto, Riley and Sadie. He likes to trap shoot and go hunting with this grandpa.
For Clinton-Massie, the honorary captains were Kaylee Jones, a third grader at Clinton-Massie Elementary School; and William “Will” Marler, an eighth-grader at CMMS. Kaylee is interested in drawing, painting and building with Legos. In her free time, Kaylee enjoys camping, riding four-wheelers and playing outside. Will enjoys playing hockey, tennis, basketball and bowling. His favorite teams are the Falcons, Buckeyes, Bengals and Reds. He enjoys going to the park for walks and to play Frisbee golf.
For Blanchester, Brysen Jackson, a seventh grader at the Blanchester Middle School, was the honorary captain. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as playing basketball and baseball. Brysen is the ultimate Wildcats fan and enjoys watching Blanchester win. After school, he wants to play basketball at Duke University.
For East Clinton, Kale Mongold, a fifth grader at New Vienna Elementary, and Hope Stier, a freshman at ECHS, were the honorary captains. Mongold likes riding his Razor scooter and going camping. Stier enjoys reading, playing video games, running, basketball, soccer, music and dancing. Her favorite subject is math. She would like to work in a plant nursery following school.

The larger 5 column photo/Cutline 1 will go on top then the next 3 can go in order Cutline 2, then Cutline 3, then Cutline 4. The headline can go between the 5 column photo and the first 3 column photo. Text should run in that double column to the left of the 3 column photos and then under the final photo to be squared off if it is long enough. Otherwise use subhead to fill those 2 columns so that the entire element is even. As for remaining space, use filler
