Panthers pounce on Ladycats, sweep DH

BLANCHESTER – Blanchester was unable to generate any offense in a doubleheader loss to Little Miami, 10-0 and 5-0, in non-league softball action.

The Ladycats seniors were honored prior to the first game. Maddie Curless, Jay Dalton, Katy Henry, Hannah Mann, Makenzie Phillips, Shelbie Rose and Lilly Tedrick at the seniors.

“They have been an outstanding group of young ladies to coach and I am thankful for all they have done the last four years to help make this program better,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “We have four regular season games left and then hopefully we can out together a nice run in the tournament and extend their high school softball careers.”

Curless pitched seven innings in the two games and became the BHS softball all-time career leader for innings pitched with 444.1 innings.

Blanchester is 7-8 on the year.
