WILMINGTON — During Ahresty Wilmington Corporation recent blood drive event, Fadi Al-Ghawi of Wilmington reached his 150th donation to the Community Blood Center of Dayton.

Ahresty hosts 4-5 events per year and has been the recipient of many Platinum and Golden Level awards.

Fadi is the chairperson for the drives at the plant. He has been donating blood for many years, and tries to donate about six times per year as long he is eligible.

Ahresty recent blood drive results include:

• 41 associates registered to give blood

• 28 units were collected (93 percent of their goal for the drive)

• Four were first-time donors.

Members of the Ahresty team always encourage others to donate for a good cause; every pint of blood will save three lives.
