Despite a 1-15 record, the Clinton-Massie boys soccer team was better at the end of the season than it was at the beginning.
”We improved drastically over the season although our record did not show our improvements, as we were a very young team,” coach Logan Madrigal said.
Clinton-Massie was 0-10 in the SBAAC American Division but returns 10 starters and 14 letter-winners. Hilliary Carr-Henderson is listed as an assistant coach.
The top returning players are Logan Meyers, Logan Fisher and Jalen Richardson.
Oscar Peredo Sanchez is one of the top newcomers and is expected to be the team’s goalkeeper.
Among the players gone from a year ago are Zach Hammonds (first team All-SBAAC), Matt Asher (second team All-SBAAC) and Drew Keller (honorable mention)
Madrigal said she likes the team atmosphere and dedication this group has shown. The coach noted Wilmington is a team to beat for the Falcons.
