Clinton County will receive a $700,000 grant to rehabilitate seven owner-occupied homes, repair 16 owner-occupied homes, provide rental assistance to nine households, and partner with Habitat for Humanity to build two homes.

Clinton County will partner with the City of Wilmington in the local housing initiative.

Altogether, the Ohio Development Services Agency awarded more than $27 million to 41 communities to rehabilitate, repair, and construct affordable housing for low-income Ohioans, as well as provide home-ownership and rental assistance.

The Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program grants are funded by the Ohio Housing Trust Fund, federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs.

Ohio Development Services Agency Director David Goodman said, “We’re working with communities across the state to improve the quality of life for Ohioans.”
