LEES CREEK – Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team was defeated by East Clinton 35-24 Wednesday night.

Katie Murphy had 13 points and Sophie Huffman added eight for the Lady Hurricane.

“Our girls played hard but came up a little short,” Wilmington coach Jermaine Isaacs said. “Give credit to East Clinton’s players and coaches for executing their game plan and making tough shots.”
