Falcon JV pulls away for 61-41 win over ‘Cats

BLANCHESTER – Clinton-Massie steadily pulled away Tuesday and posted a 61-41 win over Blanchester in junior varsity boys basketball action at the BHS gym.

Massie led 20-13 after one and 40-26 at halftime. In the third, Steven Gerber’s squad put the game away with a 16-6 quarter advantage and 56-32 third quarter lead.

For the Falcons, Austin Faucett led with 14 points, 10 of those in the second quarter.

Logan Meyers added 13, seven in the first, and Tate Olberding finished with 12.

Carsyn Valentine had nine points and Nate Baker scored eight. Brody Muterspaw and Dakota Gasaway had two points each. Carter Euton scored a free throw.

For the Wildcats, Logan Heitzman led the way with nine points, five in the opening quarter. Bryce Highlander scored eight points.

Trenton Czaika and Colton Wilson both scored six points. Javen Meadows contributed four points while Braden Roy and Kyle Hopkins had three points each. Matt Holland scored two points.
