Massie JV boys pull away in second half for 58-43 win

ADAMS TOWNSHIP – The Clinton-Massie reserve boys basketball team defeated Bellbrook 58-43 Tuesday in non-league action at the Lebanon Road gym.

Clinton-Massie improves to 12-2 with the win.

After leading 21-20 at halftime, the Falcons seized control of the game with a 19-8 third quarter advantage.

“In the second half, we turned it on, on both ends,” CM coach Steven Gerber said. “We got the tempo in our favor and never looked back.”

Tate Olberding had 15 points and three assists for Massie. Nate Baker had 12 points and six rebounds. Carsyn Valentine scored 10 points and handed our four assists.

Jordan Redman had nine points and Austin Faucett scored six. Carter Euton had four points and Brody Muterspaw chipped in with two.

Dakota Gasaway, Tyler Roberts, Davis Wulf, Hunter Green, Ethan Hughes and Danny Peppas provided “good minutes” off the bench, Gerber said.
