BEAVERCREEK – The Wilmington High School boys bowling season ended Wednesday at the Division I Southwest District tournament here at Beaver-Vu Lanes.
The Hurricane finished 18th in the team standings.
WHS junior Grant Pickard 22nd overall with a 647 series. He had games of 155, 268 and 224.
Other scores for Wilmington were Mason McIntosh 506, Elijah Martini 541, Brayden Rhoads 436 for two games (242, 195) and Jordan Tackett 567. Subs had 134 in the first game.
WHS baker games were 236, 196, 171, 134, 211 and 135.
“These scores were unbelievable,” WHS coach Josh Fisher said.
The low individual score advancing to the state tournament was a 714. Western Brown’s Austin Grammar had a 711 series and missed a state berth.
In the team standings, Wilmington had a three-game total of 2,831 and finished with 3,914 including baker games.
The final of the five state qualifying teams – Troy – had a 4,325 total.
