WILMINGTON — Community Lenten lunches will again be offered at the Wilmington United Methodist Church for seven Wednesdays starting this Wednesday, March 6 and concluding Wednesday, April 17.

The lunches are available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall for a donation of $7 (drink is included for dine-in only). Please enter at the back of the church located at 50 East Locust Street in downtown Wilmington.

For carryout lunches, please call 937-382-1465 and ask for the kitchen. In addition, the lunch can be delivered to you if you live within Wilmington.

If school is canceled due to bad weather, the Lenten lunch will also be canceled that day.

Below are the upcoming menus, subject to change.

March 6: Salmon loaf or chopped sirloin, au gratin potatoes, mixed vegetables in butter sauce, roll and butter, and fruit pie.

March 13: Chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll and butter, and cake.

March 20: Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli casserole, roll and butter, and Texas sheet cake.

March 27: Pork roast, hash brown casserole, buttered corn, roll and butter, and apple cake.

April 3: Turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, country green beans, roll and butter, and pumpkin bars.

April 10: Chicken parmesan over pasta, cole slaw, roll and butter, and pudding mousse and cookies.

April 17: Pulled pork, creamy mac-and-cheese, classic green bean casserole, roll and butter, and brownies.
