East Clinton drops 4-set match to league leader

LEES CREEK – East Clinton won a set from league-leader Williamsburg but was defeated 19-25, 27-25, 12-25, 10-25 Monday in an SBAAC National Division battle at the EC gym.

East Clinton is 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the National Division.

Williamsburg continues to lead the division with a 5-0 mark. The Wildcats are 11-2 overall.

“The girls played very hard and the aggression was third in the first and second set,” EC coach Samantha McGraw said. “We began to lose the momentum in the third set.”

Libby Evanshine had eight kills to lead the EC attack. Myah Jones followed with seven kills and also had 11 assists. Katrina Bowman finished with nine assists. Gracie Boggs had 11 blocks while Jones added nine.
