The East Clinton seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams split games with Hillsboro Thursday.

The eighth grade was a 49-30 winner. Jordan Collom had 15 points and Megan Hadley scored 14 for East Clinton. Hadley led EC with a trio of three-point baskets. Collom, Maddy Frazier and Lauren Runyon had one each.

Maddy Frazier finished with eight points while Runyon and Lilly Hoskins had six points each.

The seventh grade was defeated by Hillsboro 16-6. Makayla Seaman had all six points for East Clinton. Coach Angie Collom said the girls have come a long way fundamentally and are continuing to grow. They are aggressive in fighting for every rebound and every loose ball.
