I support and endorse Kelly Hopkins for the position of Clinton County recorder.

I have had the privilege of getting to know Kelly through our jobs at the Clinton County Courthouse. Kelly has a proven track record of being an effective leader; he served in the U.S. Army, worked as a Wilmington police officer, headed up the Clinton County Adult Probation at the request of the common pleas judge and currently serves as bailiff for the common pleas judge, is president of Leadership Clinton where he has been an promoter for improving the program, and he is a strong supporter of local veterans and programs.

When Kelly sees a problem, or a need for change, he educates and collects information and gets involved. Kelly has taken time out of his already busy schedule to educate himself on the important duties of a county recorder. He understands the impact the county recorder’s duties has on economic development and importance of assuring that all work presented is recorded accurately and within the timeframe of statutes.

I support Kelly Hopkins because he will be a working recorder who will involve himself in the daily details and expand upon the improvements that have already been made in the areas of streamlining the workflow without sacrifice of accuracy, and assuring that the customer goes away feeling that their needs have not only been met, but have exceeded their expectations. I encourage you to vote for Kelly Hopkins on March 17.
