Massie JV boys drop last 3 games

The Clinton-Massie junior varsity boys basketball team dropped its last three games to Hillsboro, New Richmond and Miami Trace.

Massie led Miami Trace after one quarter 7-2 and 18-12 at halftime. However the Panthers took the third period 18-7 and fourth period 10-6.

Blake Ireland had seven points to lead CMHS. Collin Swope added six points while Ashton Campbell, Gabe McDowell and Dakota Gasaway had four points each. Alex Jones scored three points and Conner Stulz chipped in with two. Dawson Conley had one point and Owen Trick grabbed one rebound.

The Falcons fell behind early 21-2 and were defeated 52-25.

Ireland had 10 points and McDowell added seven. Gasaway scored three while Campbell and Conley had two each. Stulz rounded out the scoring with one point. Jones had two assists, Swope grabbed three rebounds. Trick and Matt Zimmerman had one rebound each.

Against New Richmond, Clinton-Massie was defeated 63-37. The Lions led 30-12 at halftime.

Gasaway was the offensive pacesetter for the Falcons with 10 points. Stulz and Ireland scored nine points each. McDowell, Marty Kreider and Campbell pitched in two points each. Swope had a point and six rebounds. Jones came up with three steals.
