WILMINGTON – The Wilmington boys and girls swim teams swept a quad meet with Washington Senior, Clinton-Massie and Miami Trace Thursday at the Wilmington College Natatorium.
Wilmington swimmers won the 200-meter boys individual medley (Luke Mulvey), both 50 and 100 freestyle races (Petra Bray and Jordan Davis in both), both 200 free relays (Adriana Benitez, Sydney Totten, Ella Neuenschwander and Abby Greene for the girls and Parker Henry, Andrew Delph, Ben Baylor and Josh Andrews for the boys), 100 back (Luke Mulvey), 100 breaststroke (Josh Andrews) and both 400 free relays (Shannon O’Boyle, Neuenschwander, Greene and Bray for the girls and Henry, Mulvey, Baylor and Davis for the girls).
Clinton-Massie swimmers won the 200 medley relay (Charlie Hale, Luke Ruther, Luke Lentine, Wesley Vert), both 200 freestyles (Lillian and Luke Lentine), 100 fly (Luke Lentine), 400 free (Vert), 100 back (Lillian Lentine).
Audrey Lotz with wins in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke and Julianne Bailey with wins in the 100 fly and 400 free led the Washington Senior girls. They also were part of the victorious 200 medley relay with Adeline Newsome and Chloe Lovett. The Lions’ top boys finisher was Benaiah Harper with a second-place finish in the 100 back.
Miami Trace’s top girls finisher was Lilly Litteral with runner-up finishes in the 50 and 100 free. She also anchored the runner-up 400 free relay team that included Kylie Pettit, Keely McBride and Cameron Bucher. The top Panther boys finish came from Trevor Throckmorton who was third in the 100 free.
