WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Chapter of Modern Woodmen of America partnered with Ohio Living Cape May on a Matching Funds program designed to help support organizations impacted by the COVID-19 virus.
Through this project, Modern Woodmen gave a donation of $1,000 to the “Helping Hands” Fund that provides financial assistance to staff experiencing financial hardship.
Employees have additional financial demand due to the effects of the virus and the changes in their lifestyle that have taken place in the past few months; including additional daycare assistance, stress reduction programs, additional groceries for them and their families, etc.
Financial Representative Dan Mayo said, “Bev and I have been ministering at Cape May for 16 years, and this is clearly the most difficult time we have seen for residents, family members and staff. We are pleased to be able to help in this way through the Modern Woodmen Matching Funds program.”
