LOVELAND — The Blanchester wrestling team went 3-2 Saturday at the Loveland Duals.

The Wildcats defeated Oak Hills 48-33, Clermont Northeastern 45-24 and Batavia 45-36.

Blanchester lost to Loveland 43-36 and Springboro 58-18.

Hunter Smith and Gage Huston were both 5-0 on the day, coach Ryan Shafer said.

“We had some ups and downs,” said Shafer. “Being in quarantine earlier in the year has hurt us in terms of conditioning, but liked the way our team competed against some very tough competition.”
