Layoff, Lebanon too much for Hurricane 25-2

LEBANON — There was four days between games for Wilmington High School and it showed Saturday in a 25-2 loss to Lebanon.

The Hurricane opened last Monday with a loss to Clinton-Massie then didn’t have another game schedule until Saturday.

Wilmington had just two hits and reached base on three walks by Warriors’ pitchers. Lebanon registered nine strikeouts on the mound.

Lebanon had 20 hits but 17 of them were singles. Connor Smith was 5-for-5 with two doubles and three runs batted in for LHS.
