WILMINGTON — The Cleanup Wilmington event for May was a successful one.

“Thank you to all of the volunteers who spent the morning with us Clean Up Wilmington – May Event,” organizer Annen Vance posted on Facebook. “Special shout out to the guys at Clinton County Juvenile Court and Sugartree Landscaping for helping us with some really rough areas, and to Caleb Hollingsworth for helping with the pick up and distribution of mulch early this morning.

“Lots of concentrated hard work makes a difference — 110 bags of mulch used on our trees, 20 bags of downtown litter/trash, and two full dumpsters later, a great success,” she said, adding, “See you all next month!”

Those who sponsored/donated included: Midnight Auto Repair, Wilmington Savings Bank, Clinton County Recycling & Litter Prevention, Main Street Wilmington, Sugartree Landscaping, Carrie Zeigler – State Farm Insurance Agent, Caribou Sanitation, Darcy & Brad Reynolds, Melissa & Michael Snarr, and Christ the King/Wilmington.
