WILMINGTON — Batavia defeated Wilmington 14-1 Wednesday in SBAAC American Division baseball on the WHS diamond.

The Hurricane is 0-12 overall, 0-7 in the division.

The Bulldogs improve to 13-7, 5-4.

Kaiden Smith took the pitching loss but his defense didn’t help him early. Just two of six first inning runs by the Bulldogs were earned.

Jayden Tackett led off the WHS first with a bunt single, stole two bases then came home on Smith’s single.
