NEW RICHMOND — Harlie Bickett set one record and tied another Thursday in Wilmington’s 13-3 loss at New Richmond.

The SBAAC American Division softball defeat leaves the Lady Hurricane at 5-14 for the year, 2-7 in the division.

New Richmond improves to 15-5 overall, 7-3 in the American.

Bickett homered in the fourth inning to set a new single season HR record with eight. She has 16 career homers and is tied for the WHS best with at least two games remaining on the schedule. Coach Brian Spurlock noted Bickett’s career mark is impressive because last season was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
