Former longtime Wilmington residents and 1968 WHS alums John Petty and Pamela Lambcke Petty will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family on Saturday.

Dr. and Mrs. Petty were married at the Wilmington United Methodist Church on June 12, 1971 by the Rev. James Dickey.

John and Pam are the proud parents of Adam Petty (Kristin), Rachel Dobyns (Steve), and Jared Petty (Jacqueline). They have four granddaughters, Madison, Jordyn and Avery Petty, and Brooklyn Dobyns. They have five grandsons, Isaiah, Luke, and Jake Petty, and Drew and Nate Dobyns.

The happy couple resides in Kettering.
