WILMINGTON — The annual free Community Thanksgiving Dinner is on for this year with a couple of twists — it will be prepared by community volunteers at Wilmington High School, and it will be delivery-only.
In past years, the food had prepared at Wendy’s; last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic.
The free meals are available to any Clinton County resident — deliveries will begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the morning — and they include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, rolls and pumpkin pie.
To have a meal delivered on Thanksgiving — Thursday, Nov. 25 — call one one these numbers: 937-382-2706 (ArlaFaye); 937-527-6627 (Terri); or 937-382-7058 (Clinton County Homeless Shelter). Deadline to order is Monday, Nov. 22.

Monetary donations are being accepted to help with the costs. Donations may be sent to: Jo Ann Bartram c/0 Wilmington Savings Bank, 184 N. South St., Wilmington, OH 45177; make check payable to “Community Thanksgiving Dinner.”
