WILMINGTON — The staff of the Clinton County History Center encourages you to shop local this holiday season by stepping inside the museum’s gift shop. Holiday shipping delays and overseas importing struggles have nothing on their available amount of county history and genealogy products!
Located at 149 E. Locust St. in Wilmington, the Center’s gift shop is packed full of locally authored books, genealogical research materials, and local history items. Staffers are on-site and invite you to shop around Wednesday-Friday 9-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.; and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (excluding major holidays).
Items such as John Ruthven’s “Cardinal at Dusk” portrait are available, as well as notecards and large prints of James Quigley’s Rombach Place sketch. One-hundred percent recycled glass suncatchers marking the county Courthouse’s 100th anniversary, pewter tree ornaments, and local books by authors including Rita Butcher, Pat Haley, Mike Mason, Susan Henry, the Murphy Theatre, and Wilmington College are available.
All active members receive a 10 percent discount on any purchases. The Center also offers shipping for those outside the area.
