AUSTIN, Texas – Wilmington College men’s soccer senior Yusef Muqtadir was named to the third team CoSIDA Academic All-American squad as the organization announced its All-America teams on Wednesday.

Muqtadir is the first CoSIDA men’s soccer Academic All-America player in program history and first Academic All-American of any kind since Bjorn Lidman was named a United Soccer Coaches All-American in 2001. Muqtadir carries a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA and is a business administration and finance double major.

A two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and a United Soccer Coaches All-Region honoree, Muqtadir led Wilmington offensively with nine goals, four assists and 22 total points. He took a team-best 49 shots and tallied game-winning goals at Earlham College (Sept. 1), vs. the University of Mount Union (Oct. 9) and at Ohio Northern University (Oct. 13).

The Quakers finished the season 12-3-3 including a 5-2-2 mark in OAC play. For the second consecutive season, WC hosted an OAC tournament game as the No. 3 seed.
