MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Wilmington College football fifth-year seniors Tavion Bryant and Tre’Quez Parks participated in a pair of postseason games — the D3 Senior Classic and the Pro-Pouch Senior Bowl — in New York State last weekend.
Both games were put on by Free Agent Football (FAF), a state-of-the-art, multi-servicing networking platform that also serves as a scouting/recruiting database, football video platform, job portal and live events sponsor. FAF is designed to help its members with any and all needs that arise in pursuit of advancing their football careers.
In the D3 Senior Classic, both Bryant and Parks started with Bryant making three tackles and Parks tallying two tackles along with blocking an extra point. Both Beechcroft High School graduates were part of the North team that won the game 17-15.
“The event overall was a great experience of what it’s like to be a professional athlete,” said Parks. “The practices were on point, organized and professional. The meetings with coaches, scouts and otherwise were also high level. It was a great weekend.”
In the Pro-Pouch Senior Bowl, which features players of all divisions, Parks finished with two tackles while Bryant added four tackles and two pass breakups. The two multiple-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorees walked off the field victorious by a score of 43-19.
“The weekend was a great experience and brought a lot of joy as it was amazing to play alongside that much talent,” said Bryant. “The coaching staff was great and put us in position to execute with only one practice and a few walk throughs. It was a professional environment. and the two games were wonderful.”
The two Columbus, Ohio, natives ended their college careers near their hometown, defeating Otterbein University 37-33 in the season finale Nov. 13.
