WILMINGTON — With Wednesday’s expected high temperature in the mid-70s, let’s not forget that not too long ago — Saturday, in fact — it was snowing and in the upper 20s.
The spring track and field season got underway Saturday with the Wilmington Field Relays at Alumni Field.
Athletes from area schools were greeted with bitterly cold winds dropping the “feels like” temperature into the teens, adding to the elements on top of a smattering of snow from time to time — weather which continued into Tuesday.
By the way, after Wednesday’s warmup, temps are expected to return back down into the 30s for a few days.
