WILMINGTON — Jayden Tackett struck out 10 and Wilmington defeated its county rival East Clinton 10-0 Tuesday in non-league baseball at WHS.

The Hurricane is 2-6 on the year. The Astros are now 1-6 this season.

Tackett, a left-hander, allowed just two hi9ts and did not walk a batter for the Hurricane.

Bryson Platt led the WHS hit parade with two doubles and a single. He drove in three runs, scored twice and reached base via a base on balls.
