The family of Bill and Janet Merriman gathered on Sunday, July 24, 2022 to reminisce and celebrate the couple’s 70th wedding anniversary. They met and enjoyed desserts at Hospice of Dayton, where Mr. Merriman is currently an inpatient resident.
Mrs. Merriman is formerly Janet Hendee and is retired from Xenia City Schools as head High School cook.
Mr. Merriman is retired from Bendix Corporation in Dayton, Roundys Supermarket Distribution, and most importantly as a United Methodist Lay Pastor.
Rev. Merriman has served at Villars Chapel and Richland-Melvin United Methodist Churches in Clinton County, and Oregonia-Harveysburg Charge in Warren County. He served in the ministry from 1964 to June 2020.
