FELICITY — The long ride south to league rival Felicity was successful as Blanchester posted a 25-15, 25-13, 25-15 win in SBAAC National Division volleyball.
Blanchester is 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the National Division. Felicity is 0-2 in the conference.
“With the long bus ride, it is hard to get woke up and play our game,” BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said. “The girls struggled with that a little bit. They still played decent, just not how I know they can play.”
Weisflock said the players who came off the bench in substitute roles “gave their all for me.”
Jocelyn Lansing had a point, a dig and a kill. Tamaira Stewart and Desiree Abbott both finished with a kill while Audri Byrom had an assist. Ainsley Whitaker had 10 points, five kills and four blocks.
Makayla Lanham had 13 points, a dig and four kills while Sarah Pell finished with eight points and a dig. Gracie Roy had three points and a dig. Emma Falgner totaled 16 points and five digs.
Summer Schutte contributed 13 points, a dig, six assists and five kills. Madison Winemiller had seven points, an assist and a kill. Hope Blankenbeckler had seven points and eight assists.
