The Pork Pride 4-H Club met at Cuba Friends Church on Sunday, Jan. 29. There were 16 in attendance.

Vice president Stanley Chesney called the meeting to order at 6:18 p.m. Isaac Chesney led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Leah Chesney led us in the 4-H Pledge. Judy Hatfield gave the secretary’s report. Isaac Chesney gave the treasurer’s report.

We will do the election of officers and revote on t-shirt colors at our Feb. 5 meeting. A parent said that they were out in the community at dinner one night and a lady stopped to tell them that they loved reading the articles in the newspaper about Pork Pride 4-H Club and On-Target 4-H Club, even though she does not know who the kids are. She made the comment because one member of Tari’s family had on an On Target t-shirt. 4-H members, you are being noticed in the community!

Isaac Chesney did a demonstration on his drone. Ava Fife did a demonstration on her two cats and one dog and the drawings she did of all three animals. Both did a wonderful job on their demonstrations.

We will be working on a community service project at our next meeting making valentine cards for nursing home residents.

The next meeting will be on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. Elaina Chesney will do the Pledge of Allegiance; Gregary Achtermann will do the 4-H Pledge; Gregary Achtermann and Elaina Chesney will have demonstrations; and Ava Fife will provide snacks. Leah Chesney made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ava Fife seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 7:01 p.m. The group then enjoyed the wonderful snacks provided by Ava Fife.
