ADAMS TOWNSHIP — A deep, veteran Williamsburg boys basketball team defeated East Clinton Tuesday night at Brian P. Mudd Court.
The Wildcats finish 10-2 in league play and earned a share of the championship with Clermont Northeastern. WHS is 17-4 overall.
East Clinton falls to 0-20, 0-11.
In the final “home” game of his career, Dakota Collom finished with 28 points, four rebounds and four assists.
He had the Astros battling tooth and nail early. The high-favored Wildcats trailed 6-5 before going on a 9-0 run.z
East Clinton battled back. The Astros were down just 21-17 after Xander Lake fed Kasen Terrell for a basket. But the Wildcats roared ahead with 10 of the next 12 points, and 18 of the next 24. WHS led 39-23 at halftime.
The Wildcats put the game away by scoring the first 16 points of the second half.
