Blan MS boys, girls both 4th at Georgetown

GEORGETOWN — Blanchester finished fourth in both the boys and girls meets Monday at the Georgetown Middle School Invitational track and field meet.

Mt. Orab was the top girls team while Goshen won the boys meet.

The Blanchester boys won the 4×800-meter relay in 10:21.92 and the 4×200-meter relay in 1:51.72. Individually, Matthew Barnes won the 800-meter run in 2:14.52

Also, Drew Davenport was fourth in the 100-meter dash and second in the 200-meter dash. Landon Abt was sixth in the 1,600-meter run. Jacob Allen was second in the long jump.

Layla Sears won the girls 100-meter hurdles in 19.19 seconds and Haven Reeves sprinted the 100-meters in a winning time of 13.76 seconds. Addison Elam hit the line first in 33.31 seconds to win the 200-meter hurdles.

The girls 4×100-meter relay was runnerup by less than a second to Hamersville. Molly Barnes was third in the 200-meter dash and teammate Mylena Coker was fourth in the same event. The girls 4×400-meter relay was fifth and Tessa Potts took runnerup status in the shot put. Carlie Panetta secured fourth place in the pole vault.
