HAMERSVILLE — The Clinton-Massie girls golf team retained its stranglehold on the SBAAC standings Wednesday in the divisional match at Friendly Meadows Golf Course.

Grace Boone had a 42 to earn medalist honors yet again while the team shot 209 to push its lead to 40 strokes over Western Brown.

“Grace was terrific,” Massie coach James Brady said. “Her putting was very good. She is a great leader for our team. She is dedicated to this game and will one day be an asset to a college team.”

Boone has a 38-shot lead among individuals.

Reagen Reese posted the low score for the Hurricane with a 53.

The only league match remaining is the 18-hole championship Sept. 19 at Eagles Nest Golf Course.
