The Wilmington Chapter of Modern Woodmen of America partnered with the Clinton County Leadership Institute on a Matching Funds program to support the Leadership Institute program.

CCLI held its annual Dinner in the Fields fundraiser on Aug. 12 and Modern Woodmen helped make it more successful by matching $2,500 to help with CCLI’s programming.

Financial representative Dan Mayo said, “Modern Woodmen is pleased to be able to help Leadership Clinton in their premier fundraising event and support the great work of the institute. Dinner in the Fields is an amazing event and we are proud to support such a great program. As a graduate of Leadership Clinton 2007 class, I know what it did for Bev and me in helping us to get to know the entire county and all its resources, especially since we were new to Clinton County in 2002.”

Dinner in the Fields Committee Chair Elizabeth Huber said, “Dinner in the Fields was a great success for our organization. Not only for the adult program but the pie auction brought in over $6,000 for our youth program as well. We would not have been able to pull off such a great event if not for all of our volunteers, and support from our community. We thank Modern Woodmen and our other event sponsors for helping to make this one of our best events to date.”

Founded in 1883 as a fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen of America offers financial services and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.
