ROB 7th grade girls win tough opener with Massie 35-28

WILMINGTON — The Rodger O. Borror seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Clinton-Massie 35-28 Monday night in its season opener.

For Clinton-Massie (1-1), Bristol Brady had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way. Ellie Sizemore scored seven points and hauled in six rebounds. Renni Sagraves scored four points and Adrienne Lamb had two points.

For Wilmington (1-0), Jayona Kibler led all scorers with 17 points. Nellie Brown had 11 points and Bailey Huff scored two points.
