ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Despite missing several wrestlers, Clinton-Massie split dual matches with Little Miami and Conner (Ky.) Wednesday night.
The Falcons defeated Conner 48-30 and lost the Panthers 41-33.
“We may not have won both duals, but I’m really impressed with our wrestling team,” Massie coach Spencer Running said. “We’ve been battling some illnesses this week and we were down a few guys. The rest of the team really stepped up.”
While team results are important, individual matchups against strong competition has a long-term payoff.
“In two duals we only gave up four pins against some very competitive teams,” Running said. “We always have room to improve, but tonight was a good step in the right direction as far as battling adversity.”
