Bowling Final: BHS girls win, boys lose at Eastgate Lanes

GOSHEN — The Blanchester girls bowling team rallied in the second game and defeated Goshen 1,727 to 1,600 Thursday night at Eastgate Lanes.

The Blanchester boys faced a Goshen team that had its season-best score. The Wildcats were defeated 2,737 to 2,396. Landon Fischer had a 279 game and 467 series for the Warriors.

Blanchester was led by Randy Eckman who bowled a 421.

“The boys bring out the best in other teams as of late,” BHS coach Paul Jackson said. “That also made our team turn it up. Randy has come a long way from last year, all of these young men have come a long way.”

For the BHS girls, were down after one team game but took the lead in the second game and then held on for the win in the bakers. Lauren Kaehler had a 154 game and Katelyn Toles had a 151 game for Blanchester.

“The girls started out slow and finished the second game much better,” Jackson said.

Jackson said the improvement is a group effort.

”Boys, girls, and parents support each other,” he said. “I am very proud of this group, the businesses and the community for their support.”
