Girls Basketball Final: Batavia 75, Wilmington 67 (2OT)

BATAVIA — Wilmington lost a double overtime heartbreaker Thursday to Batavia 75-67 in SBAAC American Division girls basketball.

The Hurricane (8-7 overall, 2-4 American) and Bulldogs (12-3, 5-1) were locked in a back and forth battle much of the night.

After being a tied 60-60 at the end of regulation, the teams remained deadlocked 64-64 after one overtime.

Batavia outscored Wilmington 11-3 in the second extra session.

The 67 points is the most scored by Wilmington in a game since scoring 67 against East Clinton on Feb. 6, 2020.

The 75 points is the most allowed by Wilmington since giving up 75 against Mason on Nov. 24, 2020.

For Batavia, the 75 points is the most in a game since scoring 81 against Williamsburg on Feb. 9, 2015.
