Girls Basketball Final: Clermont NE 55, East Clinton 34

OWENSVILLE — Clermont Northeastern pulled away from East Clinton in the middle two quarters Thursday en route to a 55-34 win in SBAAC National Division girls basketball.

East Clinton goes to 2-14 overall, 2-4 in the division. Clermont Northeastern is 5-10 overall, 3-4 in league play.

Lauren Runyon had 16 points for East Clinton.

Megan Hadley had five rebounds and three steals. Liz Schiff led EC with 10 rebounds.

The Astros were down 9-6 after one but were outscored 29-15 over the next two quarters and trailed 38-21 after three.
