OWENSVILLE — Clermont Northeastern celebrated its Homecoming Friday night with a 54-20 win over East Clinton.
The SBAAC National Divison defeat puts the Astros at 3-11 overall, 0-6 in the division.
The Rockets are 12-5 overall and 8-1 in league play, good enough for second behind unbeaten Williamsburg.
”They came out and threw the first punch and we never gave one back,” East Clinton head coach Clyde Snow said. “We couldn’t find the bottom of the net while they were 80 percent from the field in the first half. Thats on me as a coach, for us not being mentally and physically prepared for this game. We got out-worked. Their effort was higher than ours and we can’t win games when other teams play harder. We took one on the chin, but it’s a new day and a new day to get better.”
