Clinton County Solid Waste Management District and Clinton County Commissioner Kerry Steed wrapped up the 2024 Community Grant awards Monday night at the Port William Village Council meeting.

Previously, Clinton County Commissioner Brenda Woods helped distribute funding to Clark Township officials.

Both local governments were successfully awarded SWMD’s Community Grant to support their respective community clean-up programs this year. These funds will be used by the local governments to rent large roll-off dumpsters where local residents can dispose of their unwanted junk in a simple and free manor.

The county commissioners and SWMD said they are happy to assist local jurisdictions in their efforts to care for their communities, according to a news release.
