Bulldogs take advantage of Wildcat defense in 14-6 win

BATAVIA — After two solid games on defense, Blanchester committed seven errors in a 14-6 loss to Batavia Monday in non-league softball.

Just eight of the 14 runs for the Bulldogs were earned. Quynn Dawley took the loss in the circle. Lilly Bates also pitched. The two combined to pitch six innings without a walk.

At the plate, Alayna Davenport had three of Blanchester’s seven hits. She drove in two teammates. Dawley also had two RBI.

Dawley, Mackenzie Blankenbeckler, Hope Blankenbeckler and Desiree Abbott had one hit each.

Bates, Abbott, Riley Ledford, Jocelyn Lansing, Bailee Bare and Davenport scored the BHS runs.
