Successful open house held for Doc’s Dogs

Doc’s Dogs launched its Mobile Food Cart on Saturday, April 6 with an open house held in the parking lot of First State Bank and a formal ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

The cart offers a selection of all-beef favorite “Big City” dogs loaded with toppings and made-to-order. Some of the selections include the Detroit Dog, the Ohio Dog, the Chicago Dog, and more. A large crowd supported the effort and enjoyed the food, entertainment, and a bike giveaway, according to the Chamber.

State Rep. Bill Dean presented a proclamation to the new business, and owners Jeff Schussler and Kim Law said, “We want to thank everyone who came out for Doc’s Dogs’ grand opening festivities! It was overwhelming to have so much community support! A special thank you to our friends who traveled from afar to attend, our family who came in droves, to the Chamber of Commerce who made our special ribbon cutting possible, First State Bank for a wonderful location, Old Town Tavern for an amazing evening event, Bill Dean, State Representative House District 71, for a wonderful recognition, and all our neighbors and friends in Wilmington whom without we’d have no one to cook for.”

By mixing fresh, healthy high-quality ingredients and one of Doc’s own specialties (“Prescriptions”) of the day, Doc’s Dogs promises you can “Eat Hot Dogs for a Better Life,” the news release states. Doc will travel everywhere throughout the Wilmington and surrounding area, providing food to consumers such as downtown, the college, businesses, the park, late nights and area festivals. Just look for the yellow and red umbrella.
