Blan American Legion Post #179 Honor Guard to hold Memorial Day services

The Blanchester American Legion Post #179 Honor Guard will hold a Memorial Day service at the GAR Memorial at the Flag Circle in the Westboro IOOF Cemetery, Monday, May 27 at 2 pm.

This service is in memoriam of all veterans of all wars buried at the Westboro Cemeteries. All interested area persons are invited to attend in memory of their families and veterans.

Memorial Day services are and have been held each year at Westboro as nearly as can be documented beginning in 1868. The monument was erected in 1914 by the O.G. Sherwin Post #360 G.A.R. The address is 419 Jonesboro Road, Midland (Westboro).

In Blanchester, the Memorial Day services are held at the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery at 10 a.m. by American Legion Post #179.
