WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Clinton-Massie lost its first South Central Ohio League match of the season Wednesday to Washington Senior at LeElla Lanes.

The Falcons had 2,622 while the Blue Lions finished with 2,677. Miami Trace bowled a 2,357.

“Losing a match by only 55 pins is tough,” CM coach Shonda Marburger said. “But I can’t complain about the way our varsity boys bowled. As a team, we averaged 205 in our two regulation games.”

Aric France was the pacesetter with games of 234 and 237 (471 series).

“The boys have always bowled well together, but here lately they have really pulled together as a team,” Marburger said.

Clinton-Massie, now 6-1 in the SCOL, had Joey Marburger with a 411 (193 and 218) and Jacob Wellman with 408 (192 and 216). Kenton McInerney had 381 (180 and 201) and Corey Potts finished with 378 (196 and 182).

Baker games for CM were 187, 214 and 172.

On the girls side, Clinton-Massie had 1,218 while Washington bowled 1,934 and Miami Trace had 1,697.

Brittany Fry had a 334 series (131 and 203) to lead Clinton-Massie. “Brittany is picking up right where she left off last year,” said Marburger.

Emily Rager had games of 112 and 116, Jennifer Callewaert had 113 and 101 and Kylie Harvey bowled 64 and 93. CM baker games were 33, 62 and 100.
